Coal Black – Tattoo Supply
| Care Instruction |
The care of your fresh tattoo is the A & O. Everyone of us knows that the tattoo on your body depends not only on the quality of the tattoo artist and his materials, but also on the care of your new tattoo. For this reason we, the team of the Coal Black Tattoo - Supply, would like to inform you here about possible ways and the best care.
There are different ways to "wrap" a freshly engraved tattoo to protect it from germs. Most tattoo artists treat their customers with cling film - others with self-adhesive film such as Suprasorb.

The cling film variant
Remove the foil from your fresh tattoo after 2-3 hours at the earliest. It is not bad if a little "grease" (a mixture of wound water, blood, sweat; cream etc.) has collected above your tattoo.
After you have removed the foil, the motto is: Clean your tattoo! Carefully wash your tattoo with clear water. The water should be as warm as you can stand on your skin. Do not point the water jet directly at your tattoo! If you feel that your skin is clean, repeat the washing - but this time with cold water so that the pores close.
Afterwards you dab your tattoo carefully with a fresh cell cloth (kitchen roll).
Then let the area rest for a while.
Afterwards you cream your tattoo thinly. The most important thing is that you use a tattoo cream that is low in fat and does not cream too often. Moisture is a potential fire source for germs. In the first night you can put on a fresh foil, because there are germs in a fresh bed, too.
Wash your tattoo from the second day on with ph-neutral soap or clear water.
Dab it dry, as already described.
Let your tattoo rest. Apply a thin layer of cream to your tattoo regularly.
According to the motto: As much as necessary - as little as possible!
We can recommend our Coal Black - tattoo cream.
Should a light scab layer form over your new tattoo, it is absolutely forbidden to scratch or fiddle with it! Even if it itches!
The scab will come off by itself.
Furthermore, you should not wear clothes that are very fuzzy or rub your tattoo during the healing process.
Remember: A fresh tattoo is an open wound. You have to take care that it does not become inflamed! After 6-8 weeks your tattoo should have healed. Nevertheless you should still protect the tattoo from UV-radiation.
Self-adhesive foil
After your tattoo has been treated with the Suprasorb foil, you should take it easy and do nothing on the foil for about 2-3 days. Protect your tattoo just as if there was no foil over it as permanent protection. It is normal that wound water can form between your tattoo and the foil. This will run off with time. With the foil over your tattoo you can shower normally, but best with PH-neutral soap.
Make sure that you do not hold the water jet directly on the tattoo.
Strong sunlight, solarium and sunbathing is prohibited. The colour pigments are also very sensitive under the foil.
Take your time when you remove the foil from your new tattoo.
We have made the best experiences when removing the foil under running or lukewarm water.
Start to remove the edges of the foil first. Work carefully from outside to inside !
During the process you can also stretch the skin with one hand. If dried wound fluid or excess paint sticks to the foil, you do not need to worry. When you have removed the foil from your skin, wash your tattoo clean with water and let it rest.
From the second day on, wash your tattoo with ph-neutral soap or clear water.
Dab it dry as described above.
Let your tattoo rest. Apply a thin layer of cream to your tattoo regularly.
